Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Lumberman to join our forestry and timber processing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling, cutting, and preparing lumber products while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on sustainable forestry practices and quality craftsmanship. Candidates must be reliable, physically capable, and committed to producing high-quality lumber products. Duties Operate machinery and tools for cutting, sorting, and processing lumber according to specifications Load and unload logs or finished lumber products safely and efficiently Measure and inspect lumber to ensure quality standards are met Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and productivity Assist with stacking, storing, and transporting lumber within the facility Follow all safety protocols and procedures during daily operations Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning Skills Prior experience in lumber processing or related manufacturing environments is preferred but not required. Preferred edger, trimmer, sawyer, lumber inspector, etc. experience in processing hardwood lumber. Ability to operate basic hand tools and machinery safely Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly throughout the shift Good attention to detail for quality inspection and measurement tasks Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions of lumber Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs This position is ideal for individuals seeking a physically active role within the forestry industry, committed to safety, quality, and teamwork.
