Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tree Services Contractor to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing urban and rural landscapes. In this role, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive tree care and landscape maintenance projects, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to ensure safety, health, and aesthetic appeal of trees and surrounding environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your growing experience in horticulture, tree trimming, and land management while working outdoors in a fast-paced, energetic setting. Your expertise will directly contribute to creating safe, beautiful, and sustainable landscapes for communities and clients alike. Responsibilities Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using industry-standard techniques to promote tree health and safety. Operate bucket trucks, cranes, rigging equipment, and other machinery safely and efficiently for elevated work. Conduct rigging operations to carefully lower large branches or trees during removal or pruning projects. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape projects with precision. Execute lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping tasks to enhance overall site appearance. Apply horticultural knowledge to assess tree health, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate care strategies. Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry standards. Qualifications Proven growing experience in arboriculture, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with a focus on tree care. Demonstrated skill in rigging techniques for safe tree removal or pruning operations. Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other specialized equipment confidently. Familiarity with GIS applications for landscape planning or project mapping is a plus. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance procedures, and general landscaping principles. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working at heights and operating heavy machinery.
