PURPOSE AND ROLE

The Loader Position is responsible for Loading and Unloading various materials in trucks, loading product lube oil and hot asphalt trucks. This position also creates product blends of various oils prior to shipping.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This role serves as a loader and unloader of various materials at the Nixon refinery. This role works 12 hour rotating shifts from 6 to 6. The work is physically challenging and outdoors in the elements. New hires are also required to be part of the site's Fire Brigade/Hazmat Team. The Loading position is the typical entry level position on site that typically leads to other future opportunities in other departments such as Operations, Lab and Maintenance and even supervisory roles depending on a person's capabilities. Lazarus employees will be conducting inspections/shipping activities at the plant site. Employees are responsible for the truck inspections prior to loading and post inspections after the loading is complete. Employees inspect loading hoses and connections and confirms they are in place and secured for loading/unloading. Employees will be responsible for making sure the truck is loaded to the proper level to prevent overfilling and to make sure truck is not overweight for shipment. When the loading is completed a sample will is pulled and taken to the lab for testing. [Employees are responsible for ensuring the manway bolts are torqued to the proper setting and all valves, fittings, and nozzles are closed and tightened prior to shipment.] Employees are responsible for filling out all shipment documents as required. The Loader also creates blends of oils in blend tank to produce final products for shipping.

REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma Experience as a Loader or Operator in the oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industry is preferred but not required.

Candidate must be highly organized, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Positive attitude and team player. Strong analytical, problem solving, math and science skills. Good communication, time management and interpersonal skills Has a high regard to Safety in the workplace, and has a strong commitment to operational policies and procedures. Is willing to work in all weather conditions year round, in extreme heat and cold winter weather. Able to complete the physical aspects of job, heavy lifting, climbing, crawling, etc.
