A Logging Worker or Supervisor harvests forest trees to provide lumber for building or consumer products. Cuts down and trim trees, cuts logs, and inspects and drags lumber to loading areas for shipment by truck.

Job Description
As a core unloader you will work with WestRockSmurfit employees on WestRockSmurfit property to load and unload carts in/out of Garten Trucking trailers. You will be working at three different locations (#1, #2, & #8 paper machines) closely in tandem with a Garten Trucking Sonoco driver. At the #1&2 paper machines you will use a crane to raise the carts to the main floor of the machine. Once unloaded properly you will push the carts, one at a time, to their queue position. At which point you will load an empty cart back onto our trailer to be returned to Sonoco. This position places you in constant, direct contact with two of our largest customers ( WestRock & Sonoco ). It is therefore imperative you work well with their employees and ours to adhere to all safety policies and procedures required by both Garten Trucking & WestRockSmurfit . Any disagreements/incidents/issues must be brought to the attention of management immediately. You will be required to work 12-hour shifts that will follow the primary schedule used throughout the company.
