End loader Operator

Job description: Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Front-End Loader Operator to join our team at a lumber production facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to move, load, and organize raw materials and finished products while supporting daily mill operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. Duties & Responsibilities Operate front-end loaders to move lumber and other materials safely and efficiently Load and unload trucks, conveyors, bins, and storage areas according to production needs Maintain proper material flow to support sawmill and processing operations Perform daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly Conduct basic preventive maintenance such as greasing, fueling, and cleaning equipment Follow all plant safety procedures, traffic patterns, and lockout/tagout requirements Communicate effectively with supervisors, truck drivers, and mill personnel Maintain a clean, organized yard and work area Assist with general yard or mill duties as required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience operating front-end loaders or similar heavy equipment (required) Experience in a lumber mill, sawmill, wood products, or industrial yard environment (preferred) Strong understanding of heavy-equipment safety practices Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Basic math skills for load estimation and material tracking Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as required Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment Ability to climb in and out of heavy machinery Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs when required

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
