Job Description

GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION
The main purpose of the Equipment Operator I position is to move pallets of product to and from various departments throughout the Distribution Center. This comprehension entails knowing the basic functions and controls of the PIT equipment, being able to take daily directions from leadership, and to have the understanding to know how your role affects others within the warehouse. This role is essential in learning to become/transition to an Equipment Operator II and advancing within the company. This is an entry level position for those with little to no PIT experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
75% Spent doing essential job functions as needed. 10% Time off PIT equipment to assist with general warehouse labor functions. 5% Cross-training in other functions/departments. 5% General housekeeping of department. 5% Completing PIT inspection reports.

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
Ability to write and read simple correspondence. Ability to learn to operate PIT equipment. Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions. Ability to understand all functions through training. Ability to follow safety procedures. Highly motivated, a team-player, and self-starter. Must display sense of control and confidence while operating PIT equipment. Less than 6 months PIT experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to communicate clearly. Manual dexterity required.
Sedentary:
Limited activity, no lifting, limited walking
Moderate:
Mostly standing, walking, bending, frequent lifting
Light:
Office work, some lifting, considerable walking
