Job Description
Description Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Underground Laborer with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of underground construction and maintenance projects, ensuring safe and efficient operations beneath the surface. Your expertise will help keep projects on track, promote safety standards, and support the overall success of our infrastructure initiatives. This position offers a chance to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to vital community development. Duties Operate underground construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with excavation, trenching, and installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, or electrical lines. Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to and from job sites using your CDL vehicle. Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to complete tasks accurately and on schedule. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify hazards or maintenance needs. Support team members in setting up work zones, barricades, and safety signage to ensure a secure environment. Maintain clear documentation of daily activities, materials used, and safety checks for project records. Skills Valid CDL license with a clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles. Strong understanding of underground construction processes and safety standards. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces. Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors. Basic knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations related to underground work sites. Reliable, punctual, with a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork.
