Full Job Description Benefits:
Competitive salary Opportunity for advancement Training & development We are currently hiring skilled and dependable Fiber Locators to support underground utility and fiber installation projects across New Mexico. If you have experience locating utilities and take pride in accuracy and safety, we want you on our team.
Responsibilities:
Locate and mark underground utilities, including fiber optic lines, using proper equipment Read and interpret utility maps, prints, and locate tickets Use electromagnetic and ground-penetrating locating tools Communicate clearly with drill operators and crew members to prevent utility strikes Ensure all markings comply with industry standards and color codes Maintain accurate records and documentation of locates performed Follow all safety procedures and regulations on job sites
Requirements:
Experience as a utility or fiber locator preferred Knowledge of underground utility systems and locating techniques Familiarity with one-call systems (811 tickets) Ability to read maps, prints, and GPS-based locating systems Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license Ability to work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions
