Job Description
Job Summary Quality Oil Company is seeking LP (propane) Technicians responsible for the installation and repair of propane and natural gas equipment and appliances, including but not limited to, gas logs, hot water heaters, wall heaters, commercial blowers, installation of propane tanks, and installation of gas lines, including trenching. The primary role of a Quality Oil Propane Technician will be responsible for the following activities: deliver, set and install propane tanks, inside and outside lines, conduct system tests and purge cylinders and tanks consistent with company standards and maintaining related documentation. Our technician will also be responsible for the installation and service of propane tanks in the field. Duties Technical knowledge of propane tank installation and repair or solid general mechanical knowledge to grow in our Training Program. Ability to work in small spaces such as basements and crawl spaces Good analytical skills and attention to detail with various equipment Must be able to stoop, squat, bend, crawl, twist, climb, and use range of mobility frequently Previous LP (Propane) Experience preferred Must be able to lift or slide (with assistance) 400+ pounds into and out of dwellings Must have a clean driving record and valid NC driver's license / CDL Class B preferred- Not Required Professional appearance Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company policy Ability to use a tablet, surface pro, or company issued software to document work orders, etc. Generate customer invoices on job sites, accept credit card payments as necessary Participate in company provided training opportunities on latest industry technologies Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional improvements (newer system, additional units, and additional services.) Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations
