Gas Station Service Technician or Inspector Northeast Environmental & Construction Philadelphia, PA Job Details Part-time $35 - $50 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Mileage reimbursement Flexible schedule Qualifications Customer communication In-person customer service Environmental compliance Driver's License Sensors Mechanical troubleshooting USTs Full Job Description Job Description Northeast Environmental & Construction is looking for an experienced Gas Station Technician familiar with Veeder-Root Technician and or IUM license holder to assist with gas station service, troubleshooting, inspections, and compliance work. The ideal candidate will be extremely familiar with gas station fuel systems, Veeder-Root / ATG systems, tank monitoring equipment, alarms, probes, sensors, STPs, dispensers, containment sumps, leak detection, and general mechanical troubleshooting at petroleum facilities. We are especially interested in applicants who hold an IUM license for Underground Storage Tank Systems and Facilities, including the ability to perform Facility Operations Inspections / FOI work. We are open to either hiring a field technician as a part-time employee or working with a qualified person on a consulting basis over the phone or video call. Pay Competitive pay based on experience, licensing, and ability. Higher pay available for applicants with an active IUM license and strong Veeder-Root / ATG troubleshooting experience. Pay range per hour, depending on experience consulting vs in person and licensing. Schedule Will call the day(s) before scheduled work can work around your schedule Weekends may be needed depending on customer emergencies or fuel system issues. Benefits Flexible schedule depending on experience Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement may be available Opportunity for long-term growth Pay increases based on certifications, licensing, and field performance Responsibilities Troubleshoot and service Veeder-Root / ATG systems Diagnose tank monitor alarms, probe issues, sensor alarms, communication issues, and programming problems Assist with positive shutdown setup and troubleshooting Troubleshoot fuel system mechanical issues at gas stations Inspect dispensers, sumps, sensors, probes, STPs, leak detection components, and related equipment Perform or assist with Facility Operations Inspections / FOI if properly licensed Help diagnose failed compliance reports or failed monitoring reports Work with gas station owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory personnel Document work performed and provide clear service notes Assist with underground storage tank system compliance and maintenance Provide consulting services when needed for technical review, inspections, or troubleshooting Qualifications Strong experience working at gas stations or petroleum fueling facilities Strong Veeder-Root / ATG experience required Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical fuel system issues Experience with tank probes, sump sensors, line leak detection, STPs, dispensers, and monitoring systems IUM license preferred Facility Operations Inspection / FOI experience strongly preferred
