BOP Service Hand/Completions Tool Supervisor

Job Summary:

As a BOP Service Hand, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of oilfield operations by servicing, maintaining, and repairing Blowout Preventers (BOPs) This hands-on position involves fieldwork and shop duties, working in a team to prevent well control issues and comply with industry standards. Ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with oilfield experience. The Packer Hand - supports oilfield well completion and production operations by handling, installing, and maintaining downhole packers and associated tools. This role involves fieldwork, tool preparation, and supervision of setup processes to isolate wellbore sections and ensure efficient production flow. It's a dynamic position suited for those with mechanical skills and a team-oriented mindset in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

BOP Service Hand Inspect, repair, and certify BOPs, pack-offs, reel swivels and other downhole tools (e.g., Packers, Plugs and other completion tools). Perform pressure testing, disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of equipment. Document maintenance activities, certifications, and inventory for compliance with regulations. Drive company vehicles to transport tools and equipment to job sites. Assist in rigging up/down operations and positioning equipment on well sites. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the shop and field. Collaborate with rig hands and other field hands to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Packer Hand:

Prepare, install, and retrieve downhole packers to seal annular spaces in wells, preventing fluid migration and protecting casing. Assist in running tools, monitoring settings, and ensuring proper operation during well interventions. Clean, inspect, and refurbish packers and related equipment in the shop. Supervise rigging crews during packer operations, coordinating with floorhands for safe and efficient workflows. Document tool performance, maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations. Operate vehicles and equipment to transport materials to well sites. Troubleshoot issues with packers, ESPs (Electric Submersible Pumps), or other downhole assemblies as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; oilfield services preferred. 1-2 years of experience in oilfield services, preferably with BOP or well control equipment. Also oilfield services, ideally with well completion or downhole tools. ( Workover / drilling rigs) Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pressure testing, and safety protocols. Valid driver's license with clean record Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and handle rotating shifts (including nights/weekends). Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards (e.g., OSHA and API guidelines). Willingness to travel within Colorado, Utah and other surrounding areas.
