Job Description
Overview ICL, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Intermodal Service Worker (ISW) to join our team. This role is cross-trained in multiple yard functions to ensure efficient teamwork and train operations. Daily responsibilities are assigned by the ISW supervisor and involved progressive learning of yard duties. Duties Perform groundman duties, including climbing on/off railcars and locking in intermodal containers to the rail wagons Coordinate with the crane operators for safe loading/unload of trains Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment and report damages Move chassis/trailers in the rail yard using capacity equipment or spotter trucks Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas Wash equipment daily Operate all equipment safely and in accordance with company policies Cross-train in yard functions including general labor and maintenance Skills High School Diploma or GED - required Ability to work in outside weather conditions Be able to work on uneven ground, climb up and down rail wagons, bend, reach, and kneel. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug and alcohol testing Knowledge of CFR 49 regulations - preferred Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
