Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and safety-minded Batching Operator / Front-End Loader Operator to join our feed mill team. This position is responsible for accurately batching feed according to production formulas while also operating a front-end loader to move grain, ingredients, and other materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, comfortable working around heavy equipment, and able to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities Operate the feed mill batching system to produce feed according to established formulas and production schedules. Accurately weigh and measure ingredients to ensure proper feed formulations. Operate a front-end loader to load, move, and stock grain, feed ingredients, and other materials. Safely load receiving areas, ingredient bins, mixers, and other equipment as needed. Monitor batching equipment, scales, conveyors, mixers, and other mill machinery for proper operation. Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment. Keep work areas, equipment, and ingredient storage areas clean and organized. Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and feed mill operating procedures. Maintain accurate production and inventory records. Identify and report equipment problems, ingredient shortages, or other operational issues. Assist with general feed mill operations and other duties as assigned. Work cooperatively with other employees to keep production running efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience in a feed mill, grain facility, agricultural operation, or industrial production environment is preferred. Experience operating a front-end loader or other heavy equipment is strongly preferred. Ability to read and follow feed formulas, production instructions, and written procedures. Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work safely around heavy machinery, moving equipment, grain, and agricultural materials. Ability to lift, carry, climb stairs/ladders, and perform physical tasks as required. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be willing to follow required safety and food/feed handling procedures. Work Environment This position is performed in an active feed mill environment and may involve exposure to dust, noise, outdoor weather conditions, heavy equipment, and moving machinery. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. Pay:
