Heavy Equipment Operator Location:
Vance, AL Pay:
$19.00/hour
Schedule:
2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Please note: Training will take place on first shift during the first week.
Overtime:
Up to 20 hours weekly Position Overview We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Vance, AL. The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating heavy machinery while also assisting with general warehouse duties to support daily operations. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow. The ideal Heavy Equipment Operator will have experience operating Bulldozers, Front-End Loaders, and Excavators and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork. This Heavy Equipment Operator position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with consistent overtime available. Primary Responsibilities Prepare organic mixes using a heavy equipment loader. Push, relocate, and manage stockpiles to ensure proper segregation of materials. Supply production with a continuous flow of materials. Monitor stockpiles for excessive heat and moisture levels. Maintain and care for heavy equipment. Perform pre-shift inspections, light maintenance, and end-of-shift equipment cleaning. Accurately track and submit load tickets for inventory purposes. Safely refuel equipment and follow all company safety procedures. Mix products and additives according to production specifications. Perform general warehouse duties including sweeping, shoveling, inventory counts, restacking pallets, and manual material handling. Qualifications Required Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience operating front-end loaders and dozers. Experience operating Bulldozers, Front-End Loaders, and Excavators . Previous experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to work in a dusty and dirty environment. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Physical ability to climb in and out of equipment frequently throughout the shift. Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods.
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
