ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The employee assists with the cleaning and maintenance of the concrete mix plant and equipment. The employee operates a loader to relocate materials or to clean the yard. Front Loader operator experience recommended. The employee utilizes a square or round point shovel to relocate rock, sand, debris, etc., located underneath conveyors, a pit, or equipment to maintain a clean work area. Depending on the area, the employee places debris/materials in a wheelbarrow and relocates and dumps the contents. The employee utilizes a ½-1" water hose to wash plant hardscapes or equipment, including opening/closing a water valve and relocating the hose. The employee, as needed, uses basic tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, and sockets to make minor equipment adjustments. May include assisting the repairperson with replacements of pulleys, conveyors, etc. The employee cleans the plant's 11-yard mixing drum interior at the end of every shift, gaining access through a crawl space and balancing on rubber or metal tank paddles while using a pneumatic chipping hammer to remove/clean dry concrete. The employee maintains inventory and an organized color stock room, including stocking incoming color or fiber boxes/sacks on/off shelves or pallets. The employee, as needed, visits field or street sites to clean concrete spills, including driving or riding as a passenger and using a shovel/broom to sweep and clean spilled concrete. The employee ascends/descends plant stair steps or vertical fixed ladders to access equipment or parts.
WORK SCHEDULE
Average 8 to 12 hours per shift, 5 to 6 days per week. Some days may be less than 8 hours depending on workload, mechanical failures, or inclement weather.

Compensation is commensurate with abilities and experience. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. 401(k) retirement plan. Paid vacations, holidays, and CA Paid Sick Leave.
