The yard hostler should unveil appropriate equipment placements, steer vehicles and containers to identified spots, and then sanitize pertinent equipment. To ensure success as a yard hostler, you should be adherent to prevailing safety codes. Ultimately, a brilliant yard hostler will remain abreast of advances in vehicle repair techniques. Must have 5 years Hostler experience our yard is very tight so must have great experience.
Yard Hostler Responsibilities:
Discerning suitable vehicle and container placements. Maneuvering vehicles and containers between areas of our facility. Assisting other Yard Hostlers by directing their vehicular movements, if needed. Transporting materials to the weighing platform. Cleaning and refueling designated vehicles. Sanitizing containers before and after every shipment. Inspecting vehicles to discern potential maintenance needs. Tending to or reporting on maintenance requirements. Stowing equipment away after their use. Maintaining orderliness, communication, and safety in the yard.Yard Hostler Requirements:
Completion of a yard hostling apprenticeship is preferred. Demonstrable experience as a yard hostler is an advantage. Receipt of a pertinent commercial driver's license. Top-notch coordination techniques. Excellent verbal communication skills. A safety-conscious and thorough disposition. Physically fit.' 'Work Remotely No Job Type:
