Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Your expertise will help drive project success by managing equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and trucks, and Telehandler while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, hillside home foundations, and custom home building. Duties Operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Assist in site preparation by grading, excavating, exporting spoils, digging trenches and foundation footings, lifting heavy materials, and moving earth or debris as needed. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment. Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Support the setup and breakdown of construction sites by handling machinery and other specialized equipment as required. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment on active job sites. Proven experience in residential foundation work. Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery. Valid driver's license and social security. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices. Ability to perform basic maintenance checks on equipment like loaders, excavators, dozers, and Telehandler. Knowledge of construction materials handling including concrete pump and other related machinery. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Ideal candidates will have construction site experience combined with a passion for operating heavy machinery safely and efficiently. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
