Role:
American Pipeline Services in Monrovia, CA is looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. If you thrive in a hands-on environment and take pride in operating heavy machinery with precision and safety, this is the opportunity for you. Responsibilities:
Operate heavy construction equipment including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders on pipeline and utility projects Perform trenching, grading, and excavation work in support of pipeline installation and repair Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance checks on all assigned equipment Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to ensure accurate and efficient earthwork Adhere to all OSHA safety standards, company policies, and site-specific safety protocols Coordinate with crew members, laborers, and foremen to maintain smooth daily operations Identify and report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or site issues to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
Proven experience operating heavy construction or pipeline equipment in a professional setting Familiarity with trenching, excavation, and underground utility or pipeline work preferred Valid driver's license required; CDL a plus Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and trench safety standards Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions, including confined spaces and uneven terrain Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-first mindset Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
