Job Description
Urgently Seeking Qualified Candidates!!! We are a Private civil contractor looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator for current and upcoming construction projects in and around the Sacramento area; we perform site clearance, pavement demo, grading, wet utility installation (storm/sewer/water). Required Skill set to include; Commercial Construction Experience with Fire Hydrants, Backflows, Manhole, Water Meter Installation. Read and interpret Civil Plans, perform underground utility trench excavation/backfilling, measuring mass/rough grading, setting grade stakes, finish grading, compaction of dirt or base rock, loading dump trucks. Looking for someone strong on excavators, dozers, and backhoe; experience with roller compactors, motor grader, loaders, dump trucks, water trucks would be helpful. We own most of our own equipment--all in very good working shape, air conditioned cabs. Some of our equipment is equipped with Trimble GPS and robotics. Strong work ethic, attention to safety, and effective communication skills are a must. We want a team player with good attitude who pays attention to direction and works well with others. If you're willing and able to occasionally get out of the cab and help on the ground, that could be helpful We work on primarily non-union private commercial projects, usually within the Sacramento area with a radius of up to 200 Miles. Expect to work a 2-3 day paid "probation" period so we can evaluate field competence before we offer a full-time position. Compensation will depend on experience and competency with multiple types of equipment. Medical insurance as a benefit may be available after an introductory period.
