The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service abilities, and conflict management skills to ensure safe and efficient towing operations. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles in need of assistance. Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as necessary during towing operations. Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck, ensuring proper securing methods are used. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during roadside assistance calls. Manage conflicts professionally, addressing customer concerns or issues that may arise during service. Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including vehicle condition reports and service logs. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on the tow truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on duty. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and appropriate endorsements. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair preferred. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Experience operating flatbed tow trucks or similar equipment is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic automotive diagnostics and repairs when necessary. Excellent conflict management skills to handle various customer interactions effectively. Strong driving record with a commitment to safety on the road. Forklift operation experience is advantageous but not required.
