Full Job Description Job Description:
Local Colorado Excavating Company looking for an experienced hard working Heavy equipment operator to perform site development, commercial site work and wet utilities. Experience is a must.
Responsibilities:
  • This position involves various manual tasks including, but not limited to, the following: shoveling; sweeping; lifting, pushing and pulling various objects, raking, performing site cleanup, laying pipe, trenching, laser experience and shooting grade
  • Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
  • Excavates and fills trenches and ditches
  • Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects
  • Operating heavy equipment for site development and wet utility installation
  • Performing site cleanup
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment
  • Observe visual and auditory signals during equipment operation Must be ready to learn from on the job training when necessary, and there is opportunity for advancement.

Laborer/Operator Requirements:
  • Must have valid ID and reliable transportation.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills
  • Perform well in a "TEAM" environment
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Ability to lift 75+lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noise
  • Workers must be punctual and reliable. And have the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
  • Willing to work hours that are associated to the construction industry, including overtime and weekends as needed
  • Minimum 4 year previous experience in a role with similar responsibilities
  • Dozer, excavator, and loaders experience required
Pay:
$28-$35 per hour DOE Full-time Year Round Work Eligible for Benefits after 60 days! Company provides paid health insurance for the employee.
