Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Equipment Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and precise execution of construction projects. Your expertise in handling equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery will be essential to our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties Operate a range of heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machines with precision and safety. Conduct pre-operation inspections on all equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal functioning before use. Follow detailed project plans and instructions to execute tasks such as grading, paving, trenching, material hauling, and site preparation. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and operational activities for accountability and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate work sequences and ensure project deadlines are met efficiently. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and construction site regulations to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment. Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary to minimize downtime. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators (including Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and horizontal drilling machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to work safely on busy construction sites with a focus on safety procedures. Prior experience in construction environments involving paving projects or large-scale infrastructure development is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with clean driving record is required for operating dump trucks or tanker vehicles. Familiarity with construction site operations including use of Caterpillar machinery and other industry-standard equipment is preferred. Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations applicable in your region.
