Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 8-10 hour shifts | Overtime available About the Role Watson C&D LLC is looking for a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator to support our landfill and construction operations throughout Alachua County, Florida. In this role, you will operate various types of heavy machinery—including dozers, loaders, and track hoes—to perform tasks such as grading, backfilling, and loading for both residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment including bulldozers, loaders, and track hoes at construction and landfill sites Perform grading, backfilling, and material loading according to project needs Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns Keep job sites safe, clean, and organized at all times Work closely with team members and follow direction from supervisors Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures Assist in mobile grinder operations, if applicable Qualifications 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment preferred Proficiency with dozers, loaders, and excavators (track hoes) Experience with mobile grinders is a plus Valid driver's license (preferred) High school diploma or GED (preferred) Strong awareness of safety standards and practices Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Familiarity with DOT regulations and ability to pass DOT screening Benefits 401(k) plan with employer match Weekly pay Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options Paid time off (PTO) On-the-job training and certification opportunities (OSHA, lift training, etc.) Career advancement support and mentorship Company vehicle provided when applicable Work Schedule Monday to Friday, day shift 8-10 hour shifts Overtime as required Full-time, in-person work Location Work is performed at various job sites across Alachua County, FL.
