Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our construction team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating various types of asphalt rollers to compact and smooth freshly laid asphalt. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality paving projects that meet safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure developments while honing your skills in construction equipment operation and site management. Responsibilities Operate asphalt roller to facilitate smooth paving operations. Prepare the construction site by setting up equipment, ensuring proper alignment, and verifying grading levels for optimal paving results. Conduct routine inspections of equipment, perform basic mechanical adjustments, and report any maintenance needs promptly. Assist with pavement forming and installation, and finishing tasks to support overall pavement quality and durability. Maintain safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site safety procedures. Document daily activities, including project progress, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations. Required Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as asphalt rollers, loaders and skidsteers. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues quickly on-site Familiarity with laying asphalt and operating asphalt roller.
