Equipment Operator

Overview We are looking for a skilled Equipment Operator to install service connections from residential properties to the sewer lateral at the road right-of-way (r/w) and to abandon septic tanks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Equipment Operator will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment while adhering to all safety regulations. Duties Operate heavy equipment, including mini excavators, small wheel loaders, trenchers, etc. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with team members to complete construction projects efficiently and safely. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating machinery. Assist with site preparation and cleanup as needed. Utilize other machinery when required for specific tasks. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site operations is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation. Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred. Familiarity with various types of heavy machinery is a plus. Ability to operate multiple types of equipment and machinery. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
