Responsibilities:

Operate heavy equipment, including dozers and loaders, to move materials effectively and safely. Drive and maneuver vehicles into position for loading and dumping materials. Assist in stockpiling materials at the plant and Raw Material Storage (RMS) building, as well as hauling other materials as required. Inspect the mechanisms of the vehicle and monitor fluid levels, performing maintenance and minor repairs as needed. Operate and load equipment proficiently and responsibly, ensuring the safe movement of raw materials around the plant for production while following all safety rules. Demonstrate a high level of competency, skill, and proficiency in operating equipment. Perform greasing, oiling, and minor repairs on equipment. Conduct daily equipment inspections, visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment. Remove build-up from under or around quarry crushers, beltlines, and reclaimers. Organize and plan daily maintenance activities, preparing for scheduled maintenance. Follow all plant safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Follow established traffic patterns, avoiding road hazards and other dangerous conditions. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or maintenance workers to diagnose problems or perform repairs. Maintain good housekeeping practices on equipment. Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Fulfill any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply, bringing their valuable skills and dedication to the role. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, and similar information. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as load and/or haul trucks, or related experience preferred. Valid driver's license and the ability to safely operate large vehicles. Willingness to work overtime, odd and unscheduled hours as required, and share on-call duties. Ability to perform tasks such as walking, driving, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Knowledge of cement manufacturing processes, including raw materials, mining methods, production, shipping, and packaging, is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge of equipment used, machines, and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance. Familiarity with engineering and technology applied to cement production, including principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment. Understanding of proper waste material allocation and environmental considerations.

Benefits:
