Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and play a vital role in building and maintaining infrastructure projects. This energetic position offers the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy machinery, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision on-site. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material handling tasks. Manage the operation of specialized vehicles such as concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker trucks to transport materials efficiently across the site. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are maintained throughout the project. Assist with site preparation activities by clearing debris, leveling surfaces, and setting up construction zones for various phases of the project. Collaborate with team members to execute construction plans accurately while adhering to safety protocols and project timelines. Follow all safety procedures and regulations diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment for everyone on-site. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and any repairs or issues encountered during operations. Qualifications Underground utilities experience
REQUIRED!
Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and related machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. Valid driver's license with experience driving large vehicles like dump trucks is preferred. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety protocols and construction processes. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality standards.
