CLASS B REQUIRED
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to operate equipment with complex controls requiring a high degree of skill and manipulative ability. The Operator is required to exercise skill and care in the operation of assigned equipment and to perform service and inspection on the equipment as well as protect property from damage. Work is objectively performed to provide service to the citizens of Jefferson County.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Operates one or more of the following items most of the work day as assigned:
OPERATOR II
- Items above and including: A. Off road equipment once skill and ability to operate is demonstrated B. Backhoe, front end loaders and vibratory roller C. Construction equipment including crawler dozier/bull dozier, dump trucks, etc. 2. Washes, Cleans, inspects, and performs routine maintenance, minor repairs, and adjustments to assigned equipment 3. Performs manual work associated with equipment usage 4. Performs other job duties as assigned by supervisor including labor and semi-skilled assignments when necessary to maintain work schedule
•5% other duties as assigned. Drug screening and background checks are required; Class B & A Drivers License in good standing required; Veteran's preference will be given to qualified applicants.
