Position Summary:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy equipment, including the excavator, wheel loader, material handler in support of our concrete crushing, recycling, and material recovery operations.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Loading customer dump trucks with recycled aggregate materials. Loading transfer trailers with C&D debris and single-stream recyclable materials. Loading ferrous scrap metal into dump trailers for transport. Sorting, stockpiling, and moving concrete, asphalt, scrap metal, C&D, and recyclable materials throughout the facility. Performing daily equipment inspections and routine preventive maintenance, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading. Working safely around crushers, conveyors, truck traffic, and other heavy equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work area. Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning. Direct customers to the proper location by material for offloading. Education HS Diploma/G.E.D. Experience and Competencies 3+ years of experience operating excavators, wheel loaders, compactors, dozers and material handlers. Experience in concrete crushing, recycling, scrap metal, aggregate production, landfill, quarry, or material recovery operations. Strong commitment to safety and preventive equipment maintenance.
