Watson Civil Construction, Inc. is a premier heavy/highway civil contractor working throughout Florida specializing in large site infrastructure, underground, and road work. We are seeking Dirt and Roadway Laborers and Operators for the Pinellas County area
Equipment Operation:
Operate heavy machinery like bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and rollers to move, grade, level, and compact earth, soil, and gravel.
Road Maintenance:
Spread, dump, and tamp asphalt or concrete to patch potholes, repair road joints, and fix damaged road shoulders.
Site Preparation & Cleanup:
Clear trees, brush, rocks, and debris from work sites, ditches, and drainage systems using hand tools or motorized equipment.
Traffic Control:
Set up safety signs, cones, and barricades, and direct vehicle traffic around active work zones.
Equipment Upkeep:
Perform basic preventive maintenance and daily inspections on vehicles and heavy equipment.
Requirements & Skills Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Safety Awareness:
Following strict job-site safety rules and signaling equipment operators to prevent accidents.
Communication:
Following verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicating effectively with crew members.
