Location:
Stuart, Townsville We're looking for an experienced Freight Operator to join our team at our Stuart depot in Townsville on a casual basis (28.5 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a team that values safety and flexibility.
About the role:
Operate medium/heavy Forklifts and Reach stacker, Provision, service, clean and perform lower-level maintenance on rolling stock. Serviceability checks on all machines. Operate and maintain heavy lifting equipment (exceeding 16 tonne) and other sundry terminal and site equipment.
About you:
Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude. RS Class Drivers Licence (preferred). DG license would be highly regarded, but not essential (will be obtained in the course of employment). Forklift & Crane tickets. Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of rules and regulations of operations area, Workplace Health& Safety, and Dangerous Goods. Strong problem solving and communication skills. A willingness to work day, afternoon & night shift (up to 12hr shifts) and including weekend work as required.
