From its four operation and plant facilities in Miami-Dade, Fort Myers, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach, the company boasts extensive geographic coverage throughout South Florida, focusing on all aspects of transportation infrastructure development, primarily for state and local authorities. Community Asphalt continues to provide traditional paving services which include grading and paving, pavement milling, surveying, excavation, on and off-road hauling, drainage, utilities, base finishing, and highway sweeping. The company also provides engineering, contracting, design and build and finance and more complex PPP contracts services. These projects include parking lots, industrial and retail complexes, road and highway construction, and airport runways. Summary The Front End Loader Operator will safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment (front end loader) at construction sites to move materials, load trucks, and support paving and excavation operations. The ideal candidate must have experience in a construction environment and follow safety protocols to ensure project efficiency. Operate front end loader to move and load materials, including asphalt, dirt, gravel, and other construction materials. Maintain control of loader equipment while loading trucks and placing materials in designated areas. Perform pre- and post-operational equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in proper working condition. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Collaborate with crew members and communicate clearly to ensure safe and effective operations. Monitor equipment and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards to supervisors. Keep work areas clear of debris and ensure compliance with company safety standards. Perform routine maintenance tasks on loader equipment as needed. Assist with other general construction and paving tasks as required by the supervisor. Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience operating a front end loader or similar heavy equipment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to construction and equipment operation. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle physical demands such as lifting, bending, and climbing. Valid driver's license with clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required). Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed. Ability to work flexible schedules such as nights, weekends, and overtime. Pass drug test, fit-for duty test and background check.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments. Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods. Must be able to climb in and out of equipment and work in confined spaces. Manual dexterity and visual acuity required to operate and inspect equipment.
Work Environment:
Outdoor construction sites with exposure to various weather conditions. Work performed on construction sites with potential exposure to dust, noise, and hazardous materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
