. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. Must obtain a FL Class A CDL Permit with Air Brakes and Tanker Endorsements within 90 days of hire and obtain a FL Class A CDL within 180 days of appointment. Hearing Loss Test required for selected candidate. Applicants will be tested on required equipment . Use the Job ID based on the Position Location as follows Location Job ID 580 State Market Road, Pahokee 35846 Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy, motor-driven earth-moving equipment such as backhoes/loaders, gradall, graders, steel rollers, and large tandem dump trucks in road construction and maintenance. May be temporarily assigned duties in another division/section during slack periods and/or perform additional related work as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating heavy-duty earth-moving equipment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include: One (1) year of experience in road maintenance and asphalt repairs, Experience operating backhoes/loaders, gradall, graders, steel rollers, tandem or construction dump trucks (must specify on application) , and Valid FL Class A CDL.
