As a Flagger, you will be the frontline worker responsible for directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting the efficient movement of construction equipment and personnel. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of impactful projects while promoting safety standards across busy work zones. Responsibilities Direct traffic safely around construction zones using standardized hand signals, signs, and flagging devices. Communicate clearly with construction crews, drivers, pedestrians, and site managers to coordinate movements effectively. Monitor work zones continuously to identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviors and take immediate corrective action. Set up and remove traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging stations in accordance with safety regulations. Assist with the safe operation of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, front loader trucks, and paving machinery when required. Support utility locating efforts to ensure underground utilities are identified before excavation or heavy equipment operation begins. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and safety checks to ensure compliance with safety standards. Skills Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and traffic control procedures. Experience with heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, front loader trucks, and paving machinery. Ability to operate utility locating tools and understand underground utility markings. Knowledge of construction processes including grading, paving, excavation, and site preparation. Excellent communication skills for clear signaling and coordination with team members. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
