- Operate heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and backhoes to perform earthmoving and site preparation activities, both free hand and GPS.
- Perform grading, trenching, excavation, backfilling, and material handling according to project plans and specifications.
- Conduct daily pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance including fueling, lubricating, and cleaning machines.
- Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and job site safety requirements.
- Maintain awareness of underground utilities and other hazards while operating equipment.
- Assist with site cleanup, material movement, and other general construction tasks as needed.
- Report equipment issues, maintenance needs, and safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
