POSITION SUMMARY
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, environmentally responsible handling of material and operation of equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Move bulk material and cargo, and/or load trucks, with heavy equipment Complete daily paperwork, including daily equipment checklist Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, complete daily pre-trip inspection. Perform general labor tasks to assist with material processing and property maintenance, pile maintenance (turning), or other projects as needed. Follow all safety and operational policies, regulations, and programs. Successfully complete all required training programs Monitor product for quality and report any issues or concerns. Perform other duties as assigned and assist other staff as needed. Pushing up product
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of heavy equipment experience such as front end loader, excavator, dozer, trackhoe. Not a forklift position. HS Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license and transportation required. Minimum 1-3 years' experience operating heavy equipment including: front-end loader , bulldozer, excavator, and heavy forklift. Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. Good communication skills. Ability to work varied hours including weekends, holidays, evenings, and/or overnight shifts required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk with alternate standing. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a dry, sometimes dusty warehouse environment . The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
