The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating a full range of heavy equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility. Take ownership of your role by completing pre- and post-shift equipment inspections, servicing equipment, and producing products efficiently and safely while working with a team that feels like family. Responsibilities:
Operate a full range of heavy equipment (i.e., skid steer loader, front-end loader, excavator, crusher, dredge, dozer, backhoe, etc.). Operate and maintain other equipment as needed. Perform inspections and maintenance of equipment such as greasing, checking oil, water, and tires/tracks. Perform physical duties about aggregate work (i.e., shovel, grade, etc.). Follow, enforce, and promote all company safety and quality requirements at all times. Ensure equipment preventative maintenance is performed timely, thoroughly, and correctly at all times. Consistently keep work area clean and organized to promote professionalism, safety, and efficiency. Requirements:
Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test. Basic mechanical skills. One to three years of experience in heavy equipment. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines. Knowledge of road construction materials, processes, and industry requirements. Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal. Dependability and reliability by showing up to scheduled shifts on time and being prepared for work. A positive attitude is critical to ensure productive working relationships with co-workers and management.
