Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our team. The Asphalt Roller Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining asphalt rollers to ensure the proper compaction of asphalt during the paving process. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating heavy equipment in the construction industry and possess a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Operate asphalt rollers to compact asphalt surfaces according to project specifications and quality standards Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance issues Monitor temperature and density of asphalt material during the compaction process to achieve desired results Work closely with paving crew members to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient workflow Maintain cleanliness of equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site Assist with other tasks as needed, including shoveling, raking, and operating other construction equipment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience operating asphalt rollers or similar heavy equipment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and materials Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 pounds If you have the skills and experience to excel in this role and are looking for a rewarding career opportunity with a reputable company, we want to hear from you!
