Heavy Equipment Machine Handler

Heavy Equipment Material Handler Responsible for the safe operation of our material handlers•Link-Belt 240 Material Handler, Caterpillar 320dl. The ideal candidates will have heavy equipment experience and a great safety record. Daily cleaning and equipment inspections are required. The candidate will work to determine and meet all customers needs, providing friendly & efficient service. This position is full time, working at least 32 hours a week during our hours of operation (Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday, 6 am to 5 pm, Saturday 8 am to 1 pm). Primary Job Duties Operating heavy machinery•Experience with excavators, material handlers Loading and unloading vehicles Ability to take directions from management Adaptability to new environments Daily pre-trip inspection of equipment Properly sort and load scrap metal to specifications in a safe and productive manner Breaking down of certain materials for upgrades Other duties as required Other Job Requirements Dependable Hardworking Trustworthy / Honest Punctual Excellent Safety Record Friendly / Outgoing / Likes to work with people Team Player Bi-lingual is a plus but not required Physical Demands Responsibilities primarily performed by standing / walking 90% of the time Sitting is required for the remaining 10% of the time Normal range of vision, depth perception and hearing is needed Ability to bend, stoop and reach above the shoulders is required Ability to lift and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds The ability to work in both extreme heat and cold weather conditions is required
