An Operating Engineer or Heavy Equipment Operator drives and operates heavy equipment used in quarries, construction sites, landfills, refuse and recycling centers, or ports. Heavy Equipment may include, but is not limited to, bulldozers, excavators, paving equipment and pile drivers.
Midway Staffing is hiring Production Associates for an immediate opening in Gurnee, IL! We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company with long-term potential.

12-Hour Rotating Night Shift | 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM | Must be available to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
Pay Rate:
Starting at $19.00/hour (possible $3 increase at time of conversion)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Catch folded literature from the delivery end of the folder. Inspect products for quality using an attribute checklist. Replace defective pieces and maintain accurate tray counts. Verify batch counts and follow all company safety procedures. Load flat literature onto folder machines. Perform routine quality inspections on materials before production. Ensure materials meet production and quality standards. Start and stop machines as needed to support production. Assist with basic troubleshooting of glue systems and paper-related issues. Support setup operators during machine changeovers and preventive maintenance. Read and interpret job tickets and production specifications. Complete required quality documentation accurately and on time. Label, palletize, and weigh sample trays according to production guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ability to read and follow written instructions and job specifications. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus. Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Must be committed to following all quality and safety procedures.
