at Tradesman International in Schaumburg, Illinois, United States Job Description Heavy Equipment Operator Needed in Champaign, IL - Skip Hoist Experience Preferred , but you will be heavily considered if you've ever operated Loaders, Excavators, Cranes, or any lift equipment Operate skip hoist equipment safely and efficiently according to established operating procedures

• Control the raising and lowering of skips while maintaining proper speed, positioning, and load control
• Inspect hoisting equipment, skips, ropes, brakes, controls, signals, and related systems before and during operation
• Verify that loads are within approved capacity limits and properly secured before hoisting
• Monitor hoist controls, gauges, alarms, indicators, and other equipment for abnormal conditions
• Communicate clearly with loading and unloading personnel, supervisors, maintenance personnel, and other operators using approved signaling and communication systems
• Stop operations immediately when unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, or abnormal operating conditions are identified
• Report equipment defects, breakdowns, safety concerns, and unusual operating conditions promptly
• Keep the hoist operating area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary hazards
