$17.00 per hour (starting) Job Type Full-time In-person Job Description Howard Salvaging is hiring a Scrap Processor / Yard Worker to handle scrap materials and assist customers in a fast-paced salvage yard environment. This is a physical, hands-on job that requires someone who is dependable, hardworking, and able to work outdoors. Serious applicants only. If you are not reliable and ready to work, do not apply. Key Responsibilities Process and sort scrap materials efficiently Assist customers with unloading and checkout Weigh and handle scrap materials accurately Process wheels and tires Maintain a clean and organized yard Follow all safety procedures Assist with general yard operations Perform other tasks as assigned by management Qualifications Must be reliable and show up consistently Strong work ethic and ability to stay productive Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team Willingness to work outdoors Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Standing, walking, and working on feet all day Working in outdoor conditions (heat, cold, etc.) Ability to handle physical labor continuously Schedule Monday-Friday (based on business needs) Saturday availability may be required Pay & Growth Starting at $17/hour Opportunities for advancement within the company
