Job Title:
Heavy Equipment Operator (Excavator) Job Description Join our team to operate an Excavator for large earthmoving projects. This role focuses on commercial work, primarily operating on standard earth terrain and open farmland. Responsibilities Operate an Excavator to load trucks, move dirt and/or trenching on large commercial projects. Handle large earthmoving tasks on sites ranging from 200,000 to 20 million yards of dirt. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise grading. Maintain communication and awareness of surroundings to ensure safety and efficiency. Essential Skills 3+ years of recent experience operating an Excavator. Ability to operate on mass grading sites for commercial projects. Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory. Capability to be insured to operate company vehicles is advantageous. Experience with Trimble and Topcon GPS systems is beneficial. Why Work Here? This role offers competitive compensation including a per diem. Summers are hot and humid with potential thunderstorms, while winters can be cold with rain, snow, and wind. Adherence to high safety standards per OSHA protocols is required. A professional appearance and behavior are expected in line with the site code of conduct. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
