Job Description

Job Title:
Skilled Construction Operator We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Skilled Construction Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment on commercial, civil, or utility construction projects while maintaining productivity, quality, and a safe work environment. This position requires the ability to work in varying weather conditions and collaborate effectively with crew members to complete projects on schedule. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, and other construction machinery. Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, and material handling. Assist with underground utility installation and site preparation. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs. Read and interpret grade stakes, construction plans, and project specifications. Work safely around existing utilities, structures, and other equipment. Coordinate with supervisors and crew members to complete projects efficiently. Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment preferred. Experience with underground utility, site development, road construction, or heavy civil projects is a plus. Strong understanding of construction safety practices. Ability to read construction plans and follow project specifications. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred. Ability to work overtime and travel to job sites as needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks when not operating equipment. Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
