Position Needed:
Heavy Equipment Operator Position Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 7:45 am - 12:00 pm
Job Description:
Greeting and assisting customers with unloading their scrap materials. Operating heavy equipment and/or forklift. Maintaining clean, well-maintained machines Maintaining an organized and safe work area for customers and employees. Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals and grading accordingly. Identifying hazardous and non-metal materials. Prepping various metals through use of various tools and machines for processing. Must adhere to all company safety and operation policy guidelines. Light mechanical work for regular maintenance on machines.
Qualifications:
Heavy Equipment experience (Bucket loaders, large material handlers, Al-Jon baler, large shear machine) Ensuring customer and employee safety is the #1 priority. Knowledge of various ferrous & non-ferrous metals. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Team player with professional work ethics. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Must be able to demonstrate attendance dependability and consistency. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Compensation:
Paid, on-site training. We offer competitive pay which includes overtime opportunities, weekly pay, paid holidays, and paid vacation. Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance available after 90 days.
