Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment and Oversize Transportation Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in safely and efficiently moving large-scale construction equipment and oversized loads across diverse terrains. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and water trucks to assist with transportation and site preparation activities. Safely load, secure, and transport oversize and heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, tankers, farm machinery, and material handling equipment across construction sites or designated routes. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Follow all occupational safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently during operations to prevent accidents or injuries. Coordinate with project managers and logistics teams to plan transportation routes, ensuring adherence to permits for oversize loads and compliance with local regulations. Operate hydraulics, hand tools, and other specialized equipment for assembly, disassembly, or repairs as needed on-site or during transit. Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, safety checks, and transportation records to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including Caterpillar models), front loader trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, water trucks, tankers, or similar equipment. Hands-on experience with commercial truck driving including oversized load transport and familiarity with material handling equipment operation. Strong knowledge of hydraulics systems, construction site safety procedures, and occupational safety regulation compliance. Mechanical aptitude for performing routine maintenance on construction machinery using hand tools and troubleshooting mechanical issues effectively. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with concrete mixers, farm machinery operation, and general construction workflows. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for heavy or oversize loads preferred. Ability to follow detailed safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and transportation logistics while maintaining high standards of safety awareness at all times.
