Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Loader Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate heavy machinery to load, unload, and move materials efficiently across construction sites. Your expertise will ensure smooth project workflows, safety compliance, and timely completion of tasks. Duties Operate loaders, excavators, dozers, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment with precision and safety. Load and unload construction materials such as gravel, dirt, asphalt, and debris onto various vehicles or designated areas. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and report any maintenance needs promptly. Assist with site preparation activities including grading, trenching, horizontal drilling, paving, and site cleanup. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and team members. Coordinate with site supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure project deadlines are met efficiently. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as loaders, excavators, dozers, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, backhoes, or similar machinery. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks. Commercial driving experience with valid licenses appropriate for operating large vehicles like dump trucks or tanker trucks. Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety standards and operational procedures. Knowledge of construction tools and techniques related to paving, horizontal drilling, grading, and site preparation. Familiarity with Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar brands is preferred but not required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality.
