In this role, you may be asked to operate a variety of heavy machinery to support our projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. Your expertise and hands-on experience will drive the success of our projects, from site preparation to finishing touches. Duties Safely operate heavy machinery including but not limited to articulated haul trucks, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment to perform tasks such as grading, digging, and material transport Assist in site preparation by leveling ground, excavating trenches, and moving earth or materials with precision and care Conduct routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance Grease equipment regularly as needed per equipment recommendations/requirements Collaborate with supervisors and co-workers to execute work efficiently while adhering to safety protocols Maintain accurate records of equipment usage in timesheets Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with site safety standards and operational procedures Mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting techniques Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality Knowledge of construction materials is a plus Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors This is a full time position where we aim to get at least 40 hours a week for our crew, as weather allows. We are looking to fill a position on a team that is committed to projects that will last over 2 years in the St Marys area.
