Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery in a safe and efficient manner. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction and maintenance projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. The Heavy Equipment Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure that all tasks are executed effectively. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, and loaders to perform various construction tasks. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on job sites. Assist in the setup and tear down of equipment as needed for different projects. Collaborate with supervisors and crew members to complete tasks efficiently. Maintain equipment by performing routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs. Document daily activities, including equipment usage and any incidents that occur on site. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a construction or industrial setting is preferred. Valid driver's license; commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation. Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential. Certification in heavy equipment operation or relevant training is desirable but not mandatory.
