Job Description

Loader Loader Operator duties include filling bins with materials, maintaining clean yard and equipment. This is a skilled position requiring operator to load material/aggregate/soils into concrete batch plants and/or transport vehicles. Daily production duties by operating a loader in addition to performing other miscellaneous related functions. Essential Functions
  • Fill bins with materials
  • Maintain clean yard and equipment
  • Move, load and handle material with use of heavy equipment
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ability to follow verbal and written directions accurately
  • Knowledge of skills, sands and aggregate classification to help product spec material through operation
  • Observant and conscientious about factors affecting material quality
  • Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications
  • Knowledge of weight requirements Job Specifications
  • Required to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Use hands to operate tools and controls
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Climb stairs and ladders and balance
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Exposed to dust on a regular basis
  • Regularly lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to multi-task often
  • Knowledge of the practices and techniques applied to the safe operation of heavy equipment
  • Exposed to outside weather conditions daily
  • Load transports/trailers with the proper weight. Free from debris that can fall from the trailers or beds
  • Operators filling concrete batch plants responsible for materials of proper classifications to be fed continually
  • Work will be performed per the supervisor's instructions Education and Qualifications
  • High School or equivalent
  • 1 year experience as Loader Operator
  • Must maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver's license Must be reliable, hard-working and able to work in a team environment
